The District 7 DECA Competition was held on February 4th at Lone Star High School in Frisco, TX. Grapevine High School has five District winners who will advance to the State Competition in Corpus Christi, TX on March 1-3. The students won in the following categories:

The GHS competition cheerleaders competed in NCA nationals this past weekend. They competed in the Medium Intermediate division against 22 other teams and won first place!

This is a postcard that you can sign and send to Austin to register your concerns about the possible loss of funding and the current school finance system. As many of you have heard, the state is facing a $27 billion shortfall and they have proposed cutting $10 billion from education programs. This would impact GCISD by requiring additional cuts of approximately $13 million in addition to the $4.7 million that is already projected. If you do not want to see cuts to education funding, we encourage you to contact our legislators and urge them to make education a priority in Texas. Your voice, combined with the voices of parents throughout GCISD, will send a strong message that education is a priority in our community!
